I have been searching for a lead-free slow cooker for awhile and was recommended the Instant Pot IP-LUX60 pressure cooker because it features a stainless-steel insert and can be used as a slow-cooker. However, that is not even the best point concerning this item. It is what this pressure cooker does. I am new to the pressure-cooker world and i do remember my mother utilizing one occasionally while growing up (the stove-top version, of course). I never really believed I required one, but soon after having this cooker for less than a week and using it three times already, I was amazed. My first attemptwas black beans.I added
three times as much water to the beans just to be secure, (poured off the extra when done and measured it, could have only used twice as much instead of three times as much and it would have been the right quantity). From dry beans to properly cooked in approximately 30 mins. My next attempt was a pork sirloin and it was great also, about as tender as you can most likely get a pork sirloin. My third attemptwas some chicken fajitas.I used about
two lbs of chicken (bone-in simply because that’s all I had) and an onion and a bit of red pepper, plus some chicken broth and spices. Cooked to perfection in fifteen minutes. I just had to remove it from the bone and shred it and it was all set be served. I adhered to a slow cooker recipe that said to cook it on low for 8 hours, but I used the pressure cooker function for 15 minutes and it was juicy and yummy. I can’t recommend this itemenough.B) I was
looking for an appliance to replace my slow cooker and essentially wanted a stainless steel insert. That’s not easy to discover but I did find the Instant Pot IP-LUX60. Pressure cooking was foreign to me but as I started to read more, I understood this sounded even much better than slow cooking. I received the pot in a timely manner and it is a nice looking piece. My first meal was chicken breasts that had been frozen. That’s right, I put frozen chicken breasts with onions and a can of rotel and seasonings. In 25 minutes they
are tender, moist and able to be shredded with a fork. The chicken was delicious for chicken tacos. I look toward experimenting much more and I did use the browning choice which worked well for another meal. You’ll be able to use this with the lid off. The stainless pot is quite strong and cleans up nicely. I’m really pleased with my Instant Pot IP-LUX60 6-in-1 Programmable Pressure Cooker so far and endorse this equipment to anyone. It is an ideal accessory for my kitchen. Finally, it certainly is the must-have cooking unit in your fast-paced, health-oriented and green-conscious life style.
